Branding Project
OChena Design
I decided to add my work to my website because I am genuinely proud of how it came out and keeps evolving.
OChena Design is a freelance graphic design business based in South Carolina. I decided to create a presence in the graphic design industry for myself rather than have my name on everything I do. So I went for a short version of it; OChena Design became my freelancer name.
The shapes used in the logo’s mark reflect the company, simple forms that work together. Ultimately I want people who see my logo to know that we don’t just make pretty stuff in the design world, but also we make a functional design. Three shapes that look like five also use simplicity and are easy to read. The mark can be on different mediums such as T-shirts, social media, websites, and more.
The font used on the logo is exceptionally functional for the reason that I want people to be able to read the name. Therefore, I used Roboto font, which is easy to read on computer devices and paper just right and is faster to notice than most fonts.
The colors on the branding reflect the green-blue for calm, trust, and professionalism. The red on the logo mark created excitement, brightness, and passion. I wanted to emphasize that with these colors, the business urges us to work professionally and smoothly, yet we are willing to push the boundaries and create unique work.
The feel of the identity is functional and clean, and it makes sense on different devices, from business cards, social media, websites, uniforms, and more.
