El Taco – Character-Driven Branding for a Mexican Restaurant in Anderson, SC

El Taco is a bold and energetic Mexican restaurant with two locations in Anderson, South Carolina. The team behind it wanted a brand that felt approachable, fun, and instantly recognizable — something that could stand out on signage, social media, packaging, and the side of a taco truck.

They didn’t want a traditional or corporate look. Instead, they wanted personality. So, we created one.

From Mascot to Menu – A Visual Identity That Talks Back

The brand identity centers around a custom character: a mustached, sombrero-wearing taco with attitude. He’s expressive, friendly, and used across all visuals — including menus, stickers, signage, loyalty cards, and social campaigns.

We paired this playful mascot with a warm, energetic color palette and a bold headline font (Marvin Regular). Supporting typography includes Alkaline Heavy for personality and Roboto Black for clear, readable information.

The result? A system that works for both print and digital — fun enough to wear, but professional enough to scale across two busy locations.

A Neighborhood Favorite in Anderson, SC

Beyond branding, El Taco needed graphics for ongoing promotions and store materials. We designed loyalty punch cards, signage templates, social media assets, and merchandise concepts to match the visual tone.

With this system in place, El Taco now shows up consistently across touchpoints — whether it’s for Taco Tuesday, catering flyers, or their Google listing.
